Local document processing

Scrub processes pasted text and supported files on your device. It does not upload documents, send content to an AI, use analytics, or load runtime libraries from a third-party CDN. The website host receives ordinary requests for site files; its infrastructure may retain standard access logs.

Storage you choose

Input and mappings remain in memory by default. Pro dictionary edits are saved in this browser. “Keep mapping on this device” saves up to ten mappings, including original values, in localStorage. These records are not encrypted. Other people with access to this browser profile may be able to read them. Turn the option off to remove saved mappings, or use Clear everything to remove all Scrub storage, including the license record.

License service

Activation, explicit validation and deactivation contact Lemon Squeezy using your license key and device instance. Scrub stores the license record locally for up to fourteen days of offline use after a successful check. Documents and mappings are not included in license requests.

Your exports

Downloaded mappings contain sensitive originals. Reports can contain flagged text. Scrub does not control files after download or text after you paste it elsewhere. Browser memory is released when the page closes; this is not a secure-erasure guarantee.
