Privacy

Short version: your documents never leave your device.

Markout is a static web page. All PDF parsing, balance checking and file generation run in JavaScript inside your browser. There is no server component that receives, stores or processes your documents. Nothing you drop onto the page is transmitted anywhere.

Network requests we do make

• Loading the page from the web host (standard access logs: IP address, user agent, time).
• License checks: when you activate a Pro license key, and about once a week afterwards, the key and a device label are sent to Lemon Squeezy (our merchant of record) to confirm it is valid. No statement data is included.
• Payments are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy under their privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details to deliver the license.

Local storage

Your browser stores your preferred export settings, your license key and a monthly free-tier counter. Nothing else is stored, and clearing site data removes it.

Analytics

None. No cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts.
